Center Of Excellence

" Centre for Excellence in City Logistics Management (CoE-CLM) at the School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal aims to foster cutting edge research and knowledge creation in the domain of city logistics management to reduce logistics costs and establish an ecosystem of sharing knowledge and professional excellence between academia and industry. Established with the support of GIZ, the center is equipped with expertise to conduct documentation, capacity building, research, and consulting roles for urban freight and logistics management. The center also assists in assessment and publication of best practices/case studies, partnership with ULBs/line departments for organizing colloquiums/conclaves/lectures/seminars/conferences, engagement with a wider reach using writing, and social media engagement. The centre is led by Dr. Paulose N K., Associate Professor, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, and Prof. Mayank Dubey, Assistant Professor, Department of Transport.

Aims to foster the stated vision of the National Logistics Policy (NLP) stated to enhance India's ingistics performance and reduce logistics cost. Embedded within the NLP's Comprehensive Logistics Action Plan (CLAP) is the State Engagement, focusing on the development of logistics plans and policies of the Stare/UT, and city levels"

Participation Overview :

The 5-day Executive Training Program on the Preparation of City Logistics Plans saw the participation of 120 professionals from across India, representing a diverse mix of sectors, including government, industry, and academia. The participants hail from over 30 cities across 19 states, demonstrating a wide geographical representation that underscores the national significance of the program. The Executive Training Program aims to enhance understanding and skills in managing urban freight logistics, which is crucial for sustainable urban development.
