The institute established its Department of Transport Planning on August 2018 with its Master of Planning (Transport Planning and Logistics Management ) Programme. The Department of Transport Planning offers a two year full-time Master’s Degree Programme.  

Transport & logistic Planners play a key role in ensuring that transport systems are efficient and equitable. For this, students need to understand the core principles, techniques, and concepts that underpin the discipline. Compulsory modules ensure that all students, whatever their background, have a solid foundation including policy, economics, planning, modeling,  and data analysis. Optional modules then allow for specialization and expertise in specific areas. The focus of this program is on planning and engineering solutions to transport issues, particularly how the design of systems determines the nature of the flow of people and goods being transported. Students learn how to use planning aspects to meet the challenges of integrating different modes of transport and make it more sustainable.

Master of Planning: Transport Planning & Logistics Management (M.Plan - TPLM)

The program aims to address the complexities faced in the domain of transport and logistics planning in regions and develop innovative approaches to improving cities and regions. Emphasis has been laid on integrating theory and studio contents and the application of theoretical inputs in the studio.

Doctoral Program (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. program in Transport Planning and Logistic Management is designed to foster advanced research in critical areas of mobility, freight and passenger transport systems, supply chain optimization, infrastructure development, sustainability, and policy analysis. It enables scholars to engage in rigorous academic research under expert supervision, contributing to the advancement of transport planning theories, logistics strategies, and practical solutions for efficient, sustainable, and resilient transportation networks.
