Application Steps

The two admission channels into the two-year Master of Transport Planning and Logistics Management, as following:

Channel 1 : Through GATE


Channel 2 : SPAB Entrance

  • The aspirants selected through the Channel 1 (GATE Qualified) are offered the institute postgraduate scholarship as approved in the institute’s financial budget, provided they are not drawing any other government/private scholarship/sponsorship/stipend (See the table alongside). Presently, the Scholarship payable per month is Rs.12400/-.

  • The recipients of Institute Scholarship must give a declaration that they are not getting any aid for pursuing the course from any other organization, government or private.

  • Candidates applying through Direct Admission are not eligible for scholarships even if GATE qualified. Institute Scholarships are available for a maximum of 60% of seats of all programmes provided the candidates are admitted through CCMT channel (GATE qualified)

  • In the event of any seats remaining vacant through CCMT channel, SPA Bhopal reserves the right to admit students from among the waitlisted candidates selected through Direct Admission in subsequent rounds.

Eligibility

  1. Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree from one of the following categories with a minimum oMinimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) for General/ OBC/EWS and 55% marks in aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates in any of the qualifying examinations mentioned below:

    • B. Arch/ B. Plan /B.E. or B. Tech (Civil)

    • M.A. / M.Sc. in Geography/ Economics

    • M.Sc. Statistics /Operations Research/ Econometrics (2 years M.A./ M.Sc. degree programmes recognized by UGC)#

#Note: ITPI recognition not applicable to candidates with qualifications mentioned in items (iii)

  1. Students shortlisted on the basis of above mentioned eligibility criteria are required to appear in an interview conducted by School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.

  1. The candidates applying for the specific category need to produce the relevant document as per government approved format issued by a competent authority.

FORMAT OF ENTRANCE TEST

In view of the current scenario of COVID -19 pandemic in the country, NO on-campus examination or interview will be conducted this year.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I am a GATE 2021 qualified aspirant, can I apply in both channels?

Yes. You can apply in both channels.
Channel 1 entrance is for the 15 seats (with institute scholarship).
Channel 2 entrance is for the remaining 10 seats (without institute scholarship).

2. I am a not a GATE qualified aspirant, can I apply in both channels?

No. You can only apply in the Channel 2 .

3. What is the Application Fee for Channel 1 and 2?

Application Fee for Channel 1 (for the GATE qualified aspirants, 15 seats) is ₹ 2,000 (UR/ OBC-NCL/ EWS) & ₹ 1,000 (SC/ ST/ PwD).

For Channel 2 (through SPA Bhopal Direct Admission procedure, 10 seats) is ₹ 2,000 (UR/ OBC-NCL/ EWS) & ₹ 1,000 (SC/ ST/ PwD).

You need to pay Application Fee in each channel if you are applying in the both.

8. What are the documents needed for the application in the Channel 2?

  • Passport Size photo (jpeg, less than 200 kb)

  • Category Certificate (If applicable, pdf) valid atleast upto the date of commencement of classes i.e. August 2022.

  • PwD Certificate (If applicable, pdf)in Central Govt. format

  • Consolidated Marksheet of Qualifying Degree (pdf). * In case your final semester mark sheet is awaited, scanned & self attested mark sheet of results till prefinal year/semester needs to be submitted.

  • Class 10+2 Marksheet (pdf)

  • Class 10 Marksheet/ Certificate for age proof

  • Professional Work Experience Certificate (if applicable)
